The crowning glory of BeoLab 20 is the Acoustic Lens. Its 180-degree horizontal dispersion conveys smooth high-frequency sound evenly throughout the room. The Acoustic Lens maximizes the area of optimum sound in front of the speaker. Which enabling the listener to move around more freely while still experiencing perfect sound. The technology also minimizes the effect of floor and ceiling reflections, reducing unwanted distortion, thereby improving the overall sound experience.
To deliver ultra-high-intensity bass without risking woofer damage when playing at full volume, Bang & Olufsen’s Adaptive Bass Linearisation constantly monitors and adapts the lows. For maximum placement flexibility, the speaker can be optimised to its immediate surroundings via a manual position switch, activating Bang & Olufsen’s innovative room adaptation technology.

ACOUSTIC LENS TECHNOLOGY (ALT)
The benefit of ALT is a 180-degree horizontal dispersion of the upper frequencies, leading to uniform sound characteristics in the area in front of the loudspeaker allowing you to place yourself more freely and still get an optimal experience.
ADAPTIVE BASS LINEARISATION (ABL)
Continuously adapts the bass response to the input signal, resulting in a significantly improved bass performance, without the risk of damaging the driver.
ROOM ADAPTATION
A three-position switch controls the bass response of the speaker depending on the placement of the speaker in the room.
THERMAL PROTECTION
The temperature of all driver units is constantly monitored to keep the speaker at top performance all the time.
